OpenCoffee last night was interesting, there were a few new faces and a lot of useful skills. Now that we are pushing forward with Pushhit (sorry about the pun), it’s like my brain is spotting skills that we might need subconsciously.
It’s actually very easy to convert MIDI files to the SMAF format. Firstly you need to download a free piece of software from Yamaha called SMAF Sound Decorator.
OK, so here it is. Those loving providers of polyphonic ringtones have been stripping us of our money for too long. So I’m going to show you in one very simple move how to find pretty much any midi polyphonic file, in another post I’ll tell you how to convert it into a SMAF for all of those lovely Yamaha powered cells.
