An issue was brought to our attention with our MusicWall Admin web site today.
We’ve recently finished the first iteration of our application to allow labels and artists to get their music into the Music Wall.
We’ve had our heads’ down the last week getting together some new stuff for the Music Wall and the first of the new thingies is a widget for displaying a labels music on a website or blog.
We seem to be getting about a bit at the moment, which is nice. Despite still not being able to sleep without facebook running through my mind like an eyelid poltergeist, Music Wall still seems to be gaining interest.
We’ve just added over 35 more artists to Music Wall, all free downloads and our first stateside label – SMtv Music
DJ Krust the internationally acclaimed Drum & Bass artist is distributing three tracks from his Hidden Knowledge album on Music Wall. YES!
Essentially we don’t think that there’s any money in selling music any more, especially on a smaller indie label level. The money is in the licensing and the gigs and for that to work you need fans… So, let’s give away the music, build loyalty and let fans spend their money wisely.
So after just a few days we have two more labels who want to get on board from the states, and three more in mind for late next week, one a big name in the UK dance scene, which is pretty exciting. By the end of this week, we should have over 30 artists, a new facebook application for artists and labels, plus a new iteration of the Music Wall. We really didn’t expect any of this quite so soonâ€
Last Friday we finished the first iteration of our Music Wall application for facebook and it’s now live and spreading through facebook.
Ok, so here it is, our first release on OK Cool recordings.
