Facebook API - Random Friend Photo

I’ve built my first Facebook app Random Friend Photo – it’s really simple, it just shows you a random picture from one of your friend’s photo albumns. You can then do the usual Facebook stuff such as comment on the picture.

It’s nothing clever but I had to start with something simple!

The Facebook API is such good fun to work with you can count on future Facebook apps coming out of the Ok Cool shed. Keir and I have already thrown a lot of ideas around, and Mark’s not even back from holiday yet!

I’m going to do a more in-depth post on the Facebook API at some point as it’s definately worthy of more space (and I’m still learning it), but for now, you can install my add-on by going here.

For some reason you have to go to the app url twice if you’re not logged in to facebook already or it doesn’t install correctly.

I’ve posted a question to the facebook developer community and I’m sure they’ll help me sort it, but right now… it’s 4am and I have to work tomorrow.
